About the role
Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a Labourer - Water Operations and Maintenance to join the Water and Waste Section of Council's Engineering Services Department.
The Labourer - Water Operations and Maintenance will be responsible for supporting the Team Leader (Water Operations and Maintenance) to efficiently, effectively and safely carry out all works as directed. You will conduct remediation works as required for customer service and other duties and responsibilities as required by your supervisor.
Key Requirements
- Possess a current NSW Class C Driver’s License
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Knowledge of pipe laying for water applications
- Experience in the utilisation of small plant used in the construction industry
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a position requiring considerable labouring work
- Logical thinking skills
- Adequate numeracy and literacy skills to fulfil the requirements of the position
- Ability to work overtime and on call (including weekends) as required

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.
Salary: $980.20 - $1,029.86 per week + adverse working conditions allowance level 1 of $18.92 per week + superannuation
Position Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every third week
